Spintax Studio 0.1

Privacy policy

Effective 1 August 2026.

Back to Spintax Studio ->

Spintax Studio is an offline desktop application. It does not collect, transmit or store personal data.

What we collect

Nothing. There is no account to create, no sign-in, no licence check, no telemetry, no analytics, no crash reporting and no advertising. We do not know that you have installed the application, and we have no way to find out from it.

What leaves your computer

Nothing the application sends. The editor, validation, rendering, variant generator, export and built-in help work without a network connection.

There is one external action: clicking the spintax.net mark in the tool rail asks Windows to open that address in your browser. The browser makes that request under its own privacy terms. Spintax Studio sends no data with it and makes no network request of its own.

What is stored, and where

Your settings, including interface language, theme, editor font and panel widths, are written to a text file in your user profile (%LOCALAPPDATA%). Installed from the Microsoft Store, that file lives inside the application's package container. It contains preferences only: no documents, personal details or device identifiers.

Your documents stay where you put them. Templates, template sets and exported variants are ordinary files in folders you choose. The application reads and writes them only when you ask it to and never copies them elsewhere.

Removing the application removes its settings with it.

Children

The application collects no data from anyone, of any age.

Changes to this policy

A later version may add optional AI assistance that sends text you choose to a provider you configure with your own key. That is not in this version. This policy will be updated and republished before any version that does so.
